Elmy Landscapes Ltd was started by Peter, Mark and Jan Elmy in November 2000 to provide grounds maintenance and landscape service in East Anglia and the Midlands. Peter Elmy has been in grounds maintenance and landscaping for 20 years with other companies and recognised the market for a medium size business where the directors have a close involvement with the clients, contracts and the work force.

Since its inception Elmy Landscapes has steadily grown to its present size with a turnover of £1.3million and has recently been award a 10 year contract with Colchester Borough Council to maintain their sports grounds.

As can be seen from the following pages, we work in some unusual environments, each bringing a different challenge. Many of these areas are remote and the tasks are both complicated and carried out in difficult conditions.

In order to manage the risks involved, we constantly review our procedures to ensure that our tasks are carried out using the most appropriate machinery available to safeguard the operators and public. We take pride in the fact that our accident rate is extremely low. The risk assessments and method statements we create for our contracts are extremely thorough and bring an understanding of the tasks involved to both the operators and the clients.
