First Place: Simon Lawrence - Colchester and Essex CC

Simon has been in post for ten years and now currently works for Elmy Landscapes who are contracted by the Local Council to maintain the Cricket Ground.

Simon works alone and gets help when required. He has no control over budgets but however, does have a say regarding the level of inputs required.

Simon looks after one large square that provides 16 pitches which accommodates over 70 senior fixtures and 20 colts fixtures in any one season. The ground is also used for county matches once a year. Again presentation is at the forefront of Simons mind along with ensuring the square is safe for play and provides consistent bounce and pace.

Without doubt the quality of the presentation and performance of the facility is purely down to shear amount of time and effort Simon puts in on a daily basis all year round.
